Finding My Happy Place

I put out my yoga mat for a little nightly stretching and Sunday and Ficher decided to join me! Actually, they decided to stay in my way the entire time. Ha! I guess they were missing Jeff. He was out of town and usually at this time of night Ficher is curled up in his lap and Sunday is sleeping somewhere. Ficher did eventually leave, however I proceeded with Sunday on the mat, she refused.

Creativity and Unique Finds

I was asked to donate an art item for a child's room for the Birmingham Children's Theatre annual fundraiser. I think that was a run on sentence! Oh well! This is what I came up with. Tell me what ya think!

I bought myself two Birthday presents this week. Yes my birthday is not until March, however I could not resist the two items below. I fell in love with this purse when I saw it on a fellow blogger/crafter's blog. www.artsycraftybabe.typepad.com/ I was hoping she would put it in her etsy shop! Yay, she did and guess who bought it? yep that would be me!!!!!!!!!!!

I went piddling around the other day and came across this super cool corner table. It is absolutely fabulous and fit perfectly in my dinning room.

They Finally Got Their Blankets

mama and i have been working on these for Jeff and Daddy for a while and what do you know but we both finished them this week. i was very pleased at how Jeff's turned out. anytime he saw me working on another project besides his blanket it would get so offended. it was rather funny!introducing my daddy this is his first appearance on my blog....

daddy's blanket turned out beautifully. mama used up a lot of her scrap yarn and it made such a wonderful afghan.

Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover

is what I learned at the cat show this weekend....In the picture below is a Sphynx(cat). Most would consider this an ugly cat, however I have to say that I fell in love! He was so sweet and his owner talked about how very lovely he is and I would have to agree! I did some research on these cats and found out they originated in Canada. Sphynxes are know for their personality.. they are extroverts, intelligent, curious and affectionate. I pet him and he felt like soft leather, quite nice actually. I really want one... I'm not sure I can talk Jeff into it though. Three pretty persians. The one in the middle one first place in one of the persian categories.

This guy was a hoot. He of course was one of the judges and he was very funny.

I can not do a post about cats and not include mine! This is how I found them today! All lovin on each other.

My First Felted Project

My purse already has fans! Sunday and Ficher could not get enough of me outside taking pictures!

This purse was so fun to make. I got the pattern from one of our local knitting shops, Knit Nouveau. This was my first time to felt, but I can guarantee you it will not be my last. The purse looks crazy big and unusually sized before you felt/wash it.

INSPIRATIONAL EARTH

When I go to the ocean Your tide rolls in.

Please cleanse my dying body from all the filthy sin.

When I walk through the valley of confusion and despair.

Although it is a hike of struggle, you remind me you are always there.

When I'm on the mountain high, full of emotions great.

I am to humble myself oh Lord, for you have given me this day.

In Your fields of plenty I feast upon Your mercy.

Your grace it overwhelms me and fills me with Your glory.
